Annie "Polly" McGuire, 97, of Andrews died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2004) in an Andrews care facility.
A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Samuel and Cynthia M. Blanton Stewart and the wife of the late James Vernon "Muss" McGuire, who died May 26, 1963.
She was a school teacher for 43 years, teaching at Andrews Elementary and several small area schools. She was a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ann Brooks.
