Martha, daughter of Michael and Martha Wood Pyburn, was born in England, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and immigrated to the United States in 1856 with her husband John and children. John and Martha were married 39 years and had 7 children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the wife of a farmer and sawmill operator.
