The North Georgia Honor Guard will be conducting the service. Mr. Cross passed away on June 5 at his daughter’s residence.
Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his wife, Onibee Hedden Cross; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mr. Cross was an American Hero. He landed on Utah Beach during WWII where he fought for 8 days before being shot and wounded.
He was awarded a Purple Heart after his brave service. Mr. Cross loved to make people laugh and was known as a joker. He enjoyed working in his garden and canning.
He was an outdoors man who spent his time hunting and fishing. Mr. Cross was a one of a kind man.
He loved his family and was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him.
