Mrs. Alfredo Galindo, 64, nee Angelita Rubio, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, April 4, at noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. The choir from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church sang at the mass.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where a vigil and rosary service was held Friday evening, April 3.
Mrs. Galindo was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Kerrville, the daughter of Henry Rubio and Josefina Botello Rubio. Her husband, Alfredo Galindo, survives her.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Galindo is survived by three daughters, three sons and spouses, including Norma and David Suarez, Gabriel and Socorro Galindo, Sandra and Victor Guerrero and Thomas and Lucrezia Galindo, all of Fredericksburg; Anthony and Lala Rubio of Ohio, and Sonia and Hector Valles of Kansas.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, one brother and spouses, including Guillermina and Salvador Aguirre and James Rubio, all of Fredericksburg, and Mary and Jamie Rodriguez of Stonewall.
Mrs. Galindo was preceded in death by her parents as well as one son, Joseph Andrew Galindo, and two sisters, Martha Cantu and Julia Cruz.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Victor Guerrero, Gustavo Castro, Hector Valles, David Suarez, Juan Galindo and Julio Lopez.
