Clara Smith Dum, 69, of 427 Dogwood Court, Carlisle, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 9, 1934, in Middlesex Township, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur H. and Mildred Leiby Wolfe. She was the widow of Bruce W. Smith Sr., who died in 1981, and Josiah F. Dum Jr., who died in 2003.

Mrs. Dum was a former employee of PPG in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Aspers.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra A. Copenhaver of Biglerville and Jane L. Smith of Gardners; six sisters, Shirley Tanger of Boiling Springs and Arvilla Toner, Ruth Riley, Janet Peters, Wanda Eppleman and Sandy Smith, all of Gardners; four brothers, Wesley Wolf, Wilmer Wolf Jr. and Robert Wolf, all of Gardners, and Russell Wolf of Carlisle; a stepdaughter, Jacie G. Miller of Elliottsburg; three stepsons, Gerald A. Dum of Biglerville, John Lanny Duke of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Kenneth L. Dum of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce W. Smith Jr.; a sister, Mary Bolen; and a brother, Richard Wolf.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Bendersville, with the Rev. Robert A. McEllroy III officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
