James Melvin Wesley, 80, widower of Ima Jean Davis Wesley, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville.

Mr. Wesley was born on August 6, 1934 in Casey County to the late Preston and Vasca Patter Wesley. He was a lifelong farmer, and former owner of the L&W BP Food Mart in Lancaster. He formally served as a board member on the Garrard County Health Board, and was a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church.

He is survived by: his daughter, Regina Gibson; three grandchildren, Dustin Foley and Tiffany Lewis and Emmy Reinle; three great-grandchildren, Arianna Lewis, Kasie Daugherty and John McCoy; and one sister, Charlene James.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, June Rodgers; and three brothers, Paul, Kirby and Carlos Wesley.

Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Manse Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Dustin Foley, Tyler McCoy, Ron Sutton, Randall Williams, Jerry Young, Robbie Davis, Ricky Smith, and Ronald Horn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Irvin, Bill Borden, Doyler Cooper, Alfred Gaffney, Richard Chamberlin and Joe Montgomery.
