Early Life: David was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 10, 1935, to Ferron Bennion Chase and Muriel Bennion Chase.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Following his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the North Central States Mission, he attended Brigham Young University and received his BS and later a MS in Special Education. In 1962, David married Betty Smith in and had a son, Russell. David was an educator of special needs students and in traditional grade schools for much of his career. He served in various LDS Church positions and in his later years, as a temple worker. In the afternoon of June 7, 2015, David Chase passed away due to injuries associated with a fall after leaving church services. He died peacefully surrounded by family after a long life of health challenges, which he bore with incredible patience, hope and humor.
Survived By: His wife; son, Russell (Angie); and grandchildren: Megan (Chris), Amanda, Katie and Emily.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; brothers, Joel and Ralph; and sister, Karen.
