Composer. He was born in London, the son of composer Victor Hollander. He is best remembered for his songs for the films of Marlene Dietrich. Hollander and Dietrich created a partnership that lasted until the end of their careers, with hits such as "Ich bin die fesche Lola", "Jonny", "The Boys In the Backroom", "You've Got That Look", "I've Been in Love Before", "Black Market", "Illusions", "Iowa Corn Song", and "Ruins Of Berlin". He worked on more than 200 films in his prolific career, among them "Desire" (1936), "Artists & Models" (1937), "Remember the Night" (1940), "Christmas in Connecticut" (1945), "Born Yesterday" (1950), "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T." (1953) and "Sabrina" (1954). Hollander also appeared as a pianist in a few films, notably in Billy Wilder's "Foreign Affair" (1950). He died in Munich, Germany.
