(veteran) Benjamin Franklin Haller died April 1, 1974 at Monticello, Utah and funeral service were held at the Mormon Church, Monticello.
Survivors are his two sons, James and Peter at home on their fathers ranch near Monticello, and a sister Eleanor Haller Johnson of Shelton, Washington; two aunts, Lorayne Bosking of LosGatos, California and Marion Reynolds of Los Angeles, California; two uncles, Leth Nielsen of Blair and Andrew Nielsen of Kennard.
Benjamin Franklin Haller was born on January 27, 1917 to Mr. and Mrs. Laueien Haller. His early life was spent in Blair and San Antonio, Texas. While attending High School he was active in athletics and became a Texas All State tackle in 1934. He attended St. Marys College in San Antonio, Texas and San Jose State in California.
At 19 years of age he joined the armed forces of the U.S. Army and the Air Force. One tour of duty was in the European theater during World War II as an airborne engineer and gunman. He also served three years in the Alaskan Air Command.
He moved to Monticello, Utah in 1948 and farmed there since that time.
