Former New Ulm Resident Dies
Mrs. Ernestine Fritz, 84, former resident of New Ulm, but who had been a patient at a rest home at Watkins since July, died Tuesday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in the Fairfax Lutheran Cemetery. The body will be at the Minnesota Valley Chapel Thursday afternoon and until the time of the funeral services.
Ernestine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamann, was born March 30, 1874 in Germany. She came with her parents to America, when three years old and they resided on a farm in Renville County, near Fairfax.
She and William Fritz were married in 1896. He was a carpenter.
He died in 1918. Mrs. Fritz resided in New Ulm some years before going to the home in Watkins.
She is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Gustave Erreich, Minneapolis.
The following brothers and sisters also survive Mrs. Emma Jensen, New Ulm; Mrs. Martin Bleick, Fairfax; Mrs. Lizzie Armstrong, Marshall; William Hamann, Williston, N.D.; Henry Hamann, New Ulm, and Fred Hamann, Lamberton.
