C. B. DORFMEYER IS SUMMONED

Christian R. Dorfmeyer, a well known farmer residing just east of town, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 1932, from an attack of heart trouble, following a brief illness, aged 78 years, 4 months, and 9 days.

Mr. Dorfmeyer was born April 1, 1854, in Germany, where he grew to manhood. On March 7, 1888, he was united in marriage with Gret Bootsma. The came to America in 1895 and located at Hooper, Nebraska. In 1919 they ceme to Akron and have resided here ever since. Mr. Dorfmeyer was an upright and industrious citizen, and a king and devoted husband and father and a good, helpful neighbor and friend.

His departure is mourned by his wife, two sons, and four daughters, as follows; Fred Dorfmeyer, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Bertha Frye, of Rockaway, Ore.; Mrs. Rika Reierson, of Beresford, S. D.; Gerhard Dorfmeyer, of akron, Ia.; Mrs. Emma Kjose, of Akron, Ia., They have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, this week, at 2 o'clock, in the English Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. D. W. Sammuelson. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
