James William Dixon, age 56, died on Dec 22, 1912 of septicemia in Spencer Twp, Pike County, Missouri. He was born Sept 28, 1856 in Pike County, the son of William & Polly Ayers Dixon. He was united in marriage to Alice B Pace on March 13, 1879. She was the daughter of Nusom W & Elizabeth Pace. James and Alice were the parents of two children, a daughter Stella, and an infant son that died at birth. After the death of Alice in 1896, James remarried to Elmira Hendrix in 1899 who survived him. Elmira died in 1924 and is buried in the Mount Air Cemetery, Curryville.
Funeral and burial services for James William Dixon were conducted on Dec 23, 1912 with interment in Curryville Cemetey.
