Kennith Keith Russell Sr., age 74, of Rural Dieterich, IL, formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL, with Cord Bear officiating. Burial will be in Dieterich Village Cemetery in Dieterich, IL, with full Military Rites. Visitation will be held two hours before the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
Kennith was born on April 20, 1932 in Jasper County, IL, the son of Walter and Estella (Elmore) Russell. He has been married to Ursula Cole for many years.
Kennith served his country in the United States Navy serving in the Korean Conflict and was in the first group to go to Vietnam. He retired from Aurora Equipment Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sandwich, IL. He loved hunting, fishing and kids.
Kennith is survived by his wife, Ursula Russell of Dieterich, IL; their children, Kennith (Francis) Russell Jr. of Dieterich, IL, Shelia Rebhorn of Oxford, MS, Stanley (Anita) Russell of Effingham, IL, Daniel (Lenora) Russell of Edgewood, IL, Janet (Ina) Paterson of Oxford, MS and Lou Ann (Rex) Russell of Sandwich, IL; 17 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Carol) Russell of Michigan, Bob (Donna) Russell of Wheeler, IL, and Charles (Sophia) Russell of Plano, IL; a sister, Alada Dare of Effingham, IL; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
