He had lived in Bella Vista for 23 years, coming from California where he had lived for 30 years. He retired from McDonald-Douglas after working 35 years. He was a member of the genealogy group at the Bella Vista Computer Club and the Men’s 9 Hole Golf. He was also a life-member of the Douglas El Segundo Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; one son, Ronald Kent Day and wife Penelope of Fayetteville, AR; step-daughter, Sharon Hammer of CA; step-son Howard Leven of AZ; brother, Jack Day and wife Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715 at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015. Chaplain Chuck Bengtson will officiate. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the V. A. National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR
