GRANDVIEW, Iowa -- Virgetta Rose 'Jett' Dawley, 40, Grandview, formerly of the Ainsworth area, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at her home. The Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery. After the burial, the family will gather with friends at the Grandview Community Bible Church Fellowship Hall for a lunch and time to visit. A memorial fund has been established for her children.

Mrs. Dawley was born June 1, 1966, in Pekin, Ill., the daughter of Michael and Carole Pfeiffer Bearden Sr. She married Wayne Dawley on March 22, 1997, in Olds. She grew up in Green Valley, Ill. and attended schools there. She worked as a waitress at Four Corners Cafe, Ainsworth, for a number of years. She loved her family and all the activities, especially outdoor cookouts and camping. She attended Grandview Community Bible Church.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, Michael and Carole Bearden Sr. of Manito, Ill.; six children, Thomas Glennan, Bridget Glennan and Jarrod Glennan, all of Lansing, Mich., Morgan, Austin and Alexandrea Dawley, all at home; five stepchildren, Dawn Dawley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Scott Dawley of Westchester, Coraline and Martin Reyes of Washington, Iowa, Clifton and Juanita Dawley of Riverside and Chad Dawley of Washington, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Tamre Atterberry and husband Delbert of Topeka, Ill., Marian "Marty" Jensen of Pekin, Ill., Stacey Tiller of Green Valley, Lisa Dosier and husband David of Forest City, Ill., and Dana Taylor and husband Bryan of Manchester; a brother, Michael Bearden Jr. and wife Patricia of Pekin, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Virgetta Ball of Manito; mother-in-law, Betty Dawley of Canton, Minn.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, her maternal grandfather and a nephew.
