LeRoy Robert Baker, who lived in Vancouver his entire life, died May 16, 2004, at home. He was 83.
Mr. Baker ran the S Street Grocery for years and retired from Nabisco Co. in Portland.
He was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Vancouver.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary, at home; one daughter, Pat Kadow of Centralia; one son, Gary of Vancouver; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Baker, who graduated from Vancouver High School in 1939, was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on the Lewis River.
Rosary will be said at 11:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a memorial service at noon, at St. James Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
