R. JOHNSTON BITTNER. 70. of 11482 Old Route 16. died Sunday, Feb 2, in the Washington County Hospital as a result of injuries he received when struck by a
car on Jan 17.
Born April 4. 1915 in Antrim Township, he was the son of the late Smith J and Delia K (Foreman) Bitner.
He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rouzerville. He was a self-employed heavy equipment dealer.
He is survived by five children Anthony Bittner, Lantana. Fla., Mrs. Martha Neidert, Pasadena, Md , Mrs. Molly B Cooper, Bel Air, Md, Andrew Bittner, Waynesboro; Eric Bittner, Mercersburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday
at 2 p.m. in the Minnich-Miller-May Funeral Home. Greencastle, with the Rev Wayne P Lupolt officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Greencastle.
There will be no viewing. However, the family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before services on Wednesday.
