RENO - Harry W. Alden, 87, of Reno died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 2, 2001) at Heartland of Marietta after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 17, 1914, in Moore Junction, Washington County, to Percival C. and Caroline Bohl Alden. The family later moved to the Reno area.
He attended Sandhill School and Marietta High School. He worked for several years at the Ohio State Forestry Nursery in Reno, Ohio, and retired in 1972 from Borg Warner in Washington, West Virginia. He had several hobbies and was a Protestant by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Clarence Alden; an infant grandson; and one nephew, Philip Alden. Survivors include five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. (Names of survivors have been withheld out of respect for their privacy.)
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Friday in Rainbow Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel.
