JOHN LOHR PASSES AWAY AT HIS HOME AGED 73
STACY BASIN Dec. 15 - At his home here this morning at 1:30 o'clock occurred the death of John Lohr. A highly respected farmer of this vicinity. Mr. Lohr was born 73 years ago in Damstaadt, Germany, and came with his sister to this country when he was 15 years of age. He attended school at Stacy Basin and engaged in the occupation of farming when a young man and had always followed it. He was married to Miss Caroline Lawyer of Stacy Basin who died 13 years ago. He was a member of New London Lodge of Masons.
Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Frank Rider, Mrs. Clifford Collins, Mrs. Stuart Suits of Stacy Basin, Mrs. Floyd Suits of Utica, John and Henry Lohr of Stacy Basin and Charles of Hannibal.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock at his late home, Rev. Scheel of Churchville officiating. Burial will be made at Churchville.

Funeral services for John Lohr were held Thursday afternoon at his home in Stacy Basin. Rev. Luther Scheehl, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Churchville, conducted the services. Members of New London Masonic Lodge held ritualistic services and served as bearers. Included in the beautiful floral offerings, were tokens from the New London Masonic order, friends, relatives and neighbors. Interment was made in Churchville.
