Farmer/landowner, Justice of the Peace,county treasurer and Baptist Preacher. He married six times, the records for which have been verified by LSG with marriage certificates and other authentic documents, as follows:
"The 2nd wife was Ellender Hicks (Adcock)b.1799 in Hawkins Co., Tn. d.1829, Jefferson Co. Ill. She was a (widow) with six children, Joseph Adcock b.1816,Latura Adcock b.1818, Jesse Adcock b.1820, Burgess Adcock b.1821, Malinda Adcock b.1824, Alfred Adcock b.1826. Solomon and Ellender had one child Alzora Goddard, b.in Jefferson Co.,Ill.

Solomon Goddard (1795-1871) was married several times -- to Jane Hamilton, Nancy Ellender Hicks, Sarah Cook, Mary Leach, Nancy Corbet, and Sarah Taylor.
