Russ was a life-long resident of Grand Haven and he retired from Anderson Bolling after four decades of service. He was a former member of First Reformed Church in Grand Haven, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending sporting events with his family. Russ loved football and baseball, and was an avid Grand Haven Buccaneers and Detroit Tiger’s Fan. He loved his family and friends, and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle, and good friend to many.
Russ is survived by his three daughters, Christine (David) Brown, Rosemary (Ron) Bishop, and Sandra TenHagen; his son, Rusty TenHagen; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends whose lives Russ touched.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Kilbrey; half-brother, Leo Tuttle; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Fritz, Doris Buller, and Krien VerBerkemos.
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, private family services will be held at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery. Cards may be sent to the family at 1343 Slayton St., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
