Mary TenHagen passed away peacefully with her family at home on April 7th. She was born on November 4, 1926 in Grand Haven, Michigan to Krien and Marie VerBerkmoes Sr.

She leaves her husband, Russell TenHagen after 73 years of marriage and her children: Sandra TenHagen, Christine Brown (Dave), Rosemary Bishop (Ron), and Rusty TenHagen. Mary is also survived by her five grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. She will also be missed by many friends who were touched by her love.

Mary loved her family, friends and the community. She will be remembered by her family and friends, as a loving wife, mother and for her caring heart. she loved to read, sew and attend sporting events with her family.

In her early years, she was actively involved with Special Olympics and organized many fundraisers for them.

She was known throughout the community as the "Blanket Lady". Every year she would make hundreds of blankets which she donated to the American Legion, Salvation Army and many other ministries who care for others in need.

Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak concerning social distancing, a private family burial service will be held. Services will be entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services. Share memories with the family at their online guest book at www.sytsemafh.com.
