Adolph Abt filed immigrations papers in Summit County Courts sating in 1922 and Oct of 1930the following:

Adolph stated his father died in 1895 when he was just a boy; no one had told him he was a citizen, but he thought his father was a US citizen , so Adolph voted when he became of age to vote. The summer of this year ( 1930) his brother told him that his father was never a US citizen.

Adolph stated he was born January 3, 1870 in Mereddswhand, Switzerland. His wife's name was Gertrrude and they were married May 15, 1900 in Akron Ohio. Gertrude was born in Akron Ohjo on January 6, 1874.
Adolph had immigrated to the US , thru port of New York, April of 1884 from a port in Amsterdam, Belgium. He could not recall the name of the ship he travelled on.. He considered his ethnicity as German.

Adolph took the Oat of Allegiance in 1931.
