Weller Johnston Rothrock was the sixth of eight known children of George William Rothrock (1798-1865) and his second wife, Louisiana Johnston (1804-1888), who married 14 Mar 1827 at Fredericksburg, Virginia. George had an additional two known children by his first wife, Martha Hartwell Taliaferro (c1800-1825), who married 13 May 1820 at Bath, Caroline County, Virginia.
Weller married Julia Ann Sheppard (1845-1922) on 28 Jan 1862 in Virginia. Weller and Julia were the parents of five known children, namely:
1. John Sheppard Rothrock (1864-1885)
2. Julia Rothrock (1867-1872)
3. Weller Rothrock (1870-1940)
4. Virginia Lee Rothrock Gray (1877-1960)
5. child Rothrock (???-1885)

The order of birth of the last child is unknown. Weller’s death certificate lists him as Dr. W. Rothrock, a pharmacist. In 1860 Weller was living at Vicksburg, Warren County, Mississippi Weller fought for the South in the Civil War, with the 21st Mississippi Infantry, Company A as a Private. In 1870 the family was living at Washington D.C., 4th Ward with Weller listed as clerk in a store. I can't find the family on the 1880 census. In 1900 and 1910 Weller was living at a Catholic home for the aged poor at Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia. Julia received a Civil War Confederate Pension starting in 1914.
