Weller married Julia Ann Sheppard (1845-1922) on 28 Jan 1862 in Virginia. Weller and Julia were the parents of five known children, namely:
1. John Sheppard Rothrock (1864-1885)
2. Julia Rothrock (1867-1872)
3. Weller Rothrock (1870-1940)
4. Virginia Lee Rothrock Gray (1877-1960)
5. child Rothrock (???-1885)
Is the last child really a child of the family? or is the daughter Julia, removed from a cemetery in Washington D. C. to Loudon Park in 1885?
The order of birth of the last child is unknown. Weller’s death certificate lists him as Dr. W. Rothrock, a pharmacist. In 1860 Weller was living at Vicksburg, Warren County, Mississippi Weller fought for the South in the Civil War, with the 21st Mississippi Infantry, Company A as a Private. In 1870 the family was living at Washington D.C., 4th Ward with Weller listed as clerk in a store. I can't find the family on the 1880 census. In 1900 and 1910 Weller was living at a Catholic home for the aged poor at Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia. Julia received a Civil War Confederate Pension starting in 1914.
Links to Weller's parents, wife, all of his five known children and four of his nine known siblings and half-siblings are included below.
