Rogersville - George William Horne, 65, of Rt. 2, Rogersville, died at 11:30 am Sunday at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

He attended the Big Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Volena Lawson Horne; two daughters, Mrs. Randall (Grace) Hutchens, Kingsport, and Mrs. Tom (Lois) Sloan, Rogersville; two grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Ethel Horne, Rogersville; two brothers, Robert A. Horne and John (Jake) Horne, both of Rogersville; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Shanks, Surgoinsville, Mrs. Kate Britton, Greeneville, Mrs. May Laster, Rogersville, and Mrs. Belle Johnson, Mooresburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Colboch-Price Chapel with Rev. Eugene Hageman and Rev. Jess Hurd officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Monday.
