Mildred Dhein, 93, of Oak Creek Assisted Living in Kiel went to our Lord and Savior on Saturday morning April 30, 2016 after fighting a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. She was surrounded by her family throughout her fight and at the time of her passing.

Mildred was born December 21, 1923 in rural Cleveland, WI, daughter of the late John and Catherine Schneider. On June 14, 1941 she married Daniel Dhein at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in the Town of Meeme. They shared 52 blessed and wonderful years together until Daniels passing in 1993. Mom worked side by side with dad serving wonderful meals on the mobile food truck and cashiering for countless auctions for their self employed auctioneer business in Kiel. She also assisted dad with the founding of Dhein Realty and Appraisal business in Kiel, working as dad's personal secretary for many years out of their home. Mildred was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel and was active with the Christian Woman's Association.

Mildred loved keeping up on current events going on in the world. She was a wonderful friend and confidant to all of us. She loved playing cards and bingo and an occasional outing to the casino. She was a wonderful cook and spent countless hours cooking and baking. Mildred loved life, but most importantly she loved her family and given the chance to do anything, she chose to be around her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Janice (Richard) Fogeltanz, Two Rivers, Nancy (Roger) Wriedt, Madison, Sandy Spradau, Madison, Elizabeth Scharenbroch (Tom Stahl) New Holstein, Margie (Kevin) Jones, Sheboygan, John Dhein, Green Bay, Jim (Barb) Dhein, Kiel, daughter-in-law; Cheri Dhein, Kiel, son-in-law; Walter Akright, Bella Vista, AR, 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister; Olive Schwoerer, of Oak Creek Assisted Living, Kiel, sisters-in-law; Eileen Dhein, Manitowoc, Irene Dhein, Cleveland, Marlene Dhein, Sheboygan, Pat (Ken) Zastrow, Sheboygan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
