Eleanor V. White, 92, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. She was born August 5, 1922, in Salem Township, the daughter of John and Nella (Stuart) Bosart.
Eleanor was a graduate of North Lewisburg High School. She was an active member of the North Lewisburg United Methodist Church and loved gardening.
She is survived by her son, Tom White of North Lewisburg; daughter, Joyce (Dale) Hess of The Villages, FL; 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Stout of West Liberty; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, John and Robert White; her brother, Jim Bosart; and her sister, Shirley Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, in the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg, with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
