He received his education in the Armstrong High School graduating in 1956. Bob served in the United States Army.
On May 23, 1964, he was united in marriage to Sharon Moffitt in Estherville, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple made their home in the Armstrong area. Robert was employed at Arts Way Manufacturing for forty years.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and collecting antiques and coins. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armstrong.
