She received her education in Armstrong, Iowa, schools, graduating from Armstrong High School in 1960.
On May 18, 1963, Marjorie was united in marriage to Gerald Moffitt at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Armstrong. The couple lived in Estherville, Iowa, a short while before moving to Burt, Iowa, then Algona, Iowa, where they began their family. Marjorie worked at the Jackson Hospital and then was a home maker. Gerald was a member of the US Army. Marjorie lived a brave and courageous life raising six children and putting their needs before her own.
She loved to help her family and friends out however she could and didn’t expect anything in return. She had a love for 50’s & 60’s country music and enjoyed dancing with friends and family. She liked to crochet, embroider and was known for her "Bear" blankets when a baby was born. Mom loved to plant flowers, roses and lilac’s were two of her favorites. Sunday’s were special, growing up mom would take all us kids to a movie, roller skating, Arnolds Park, fishing, camping or just to play at the park. We would either have a picnic at the park or a picnic in the car on the way home. These were the best memories for all of us.
Left to treasure Marjorie’s memory are her sons, Jerry and wife Jennifer, Mike and wife Deb, and Jeffrey Moffitt; daughters, Michelle Johnson and husband Jeff, Jodi Broesder and husband Mark, and Jennifer Moffitt and several grandchildren and one great grandchild. Marjorie’s brothers; Joseph, Richard and Lester Eisenbacher; sisters; Madonna Frasier and Janice Eisenbacher.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Roman and Viola Eisenbacher, brothers, Roman, William, Robert Eisenbacher; sister, Evelyn Wampler; and grandchild Madisyn Broesder.
