Lawrence Slifer, 79, of Sterling, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL.
He was born 23 Sept 1935 in Ogle County, IL the son of Howard and Beulah (Shilling) Slifer.
He served in the US Army 101st Airborne. He married Marilyn Kitzmiller on 07 Aug 1954, in Polo, IL. She preceded him in death 16 Apr 2015.
He is survived by four daughters and one son; one sister Lorraine; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
