Philip Lynn Hulme, 90, died of age-related illnesses on May 22, 2015 in Provo, Utah. Phil was born to John Philip and LaVerna Faylor Hulme on June 30, 1924 in Bloomington, Idaho. He was the fourth of six children. Phil loved small town life and helped his father on the family ranch. He also loved music and taught himself to play various instruments. He showed a knack for singing in harmony at a very young age.

Phil married Lois Lee Bridges on October 11, 1946 in the Idaho Falls temple. Together, they taught elementary school in Bloomington, Idaho. Later, they moved to Montpelier, where they welcomed four children: Thomas, Bradley, Sandra, and Brent. Phil worked as a postal employee for 35 years, finishing his career as Postmaster in Paris, Idaho. Following retirement, he opened Phils Travel Service in Montpelier, ID. He took many travelers around the world and has been to all 50 states. He was a member of the Montpelier Lions Club and sang with the Lions Trio for 30 years. He served on the Bear Lake School Board and was chairman to finish and light "M" Hill. Phil served as Bishop, in a Stake Presidency, Scout Master, and many other callings in the LDS Church.

Phil and Lois Lee served a mission in the North Carolina, Charlotte mission. In his later years, he continued to conduct choirs and entertain groups by singing and playing his ukulele. His music brought joy and laughter to people wherever he lived and traveled.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Hulme (Connie); sister, Lucille Smart (Grant); his children: Thomas (Carol), Bradley (Jane Reints), Sandra Phokeerdoss (Morris), and Brent (VaLene). Phil had 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS 3rd and 5th Ward Chapel in Montpelier, Idaho on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00pm. A viewing is available from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Interment will be in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
