Thomas J. Barden, 77, Wausau, died Sunday May 24, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.He was born December 11, 1937, in Wausau, son of the late Frank and Mazel (Theisen) Barden. On March 31, 1984, he married Sandy Lang in Hartford. She survives.Tom had been employed in sales and later served as manager at Emmons Office Products prior to founding his own company, Barden Office Machines, retiring in 2002. Yardwork was one of Tom's current passions, however, bowling and golf were among his favorite pastimes. Tom had the distinction of having achieved five HOLE-IN-ONE golf triumphs and having bowled three PERFECT GAMES! In his younger years, he was involved in several softball and baseball leagues including playing with the Wausau Barons in the old Wausau Valley Baseball League. He was a member of Wausau Elks Lodge No. 248 and the Knights of Columbus, George Schreier Council No. 1069, Wausau.Survivors include his wife, Sandy Barden, Wausau, two children, Chris and Kim of Wausau, one brother, James (Sue) Barden, Pennsylvania, one brother-in-law, Charlie Lang, Wausau, along with other relatives and friends.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Strachota, Gene Barden and Pat Barden.A Memorial Mass will be held at Noon Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Michael Strachota and Rev. James Schaefer will preside. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau.
