Ginger Ward, 71 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, May 25, 2015, at Regional Hospital Of Jackson in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Monday, July 19, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John L. Deal, Sr. and the late Virginia Morrison Deal.
Ms. Ward retired in 2009 from Dyer County High School where she taught special education for over three decades. Her joy in life was to see the accomplishments that her students acheived through the year.
Memorial services for Ms. Ward will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Will Ward of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, John L. Deal, Jr. of Bartlett, Tennessee and William V."Bill" Deal of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Judith Deal Cultra and her husband, Eddie Cultra of Union City, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Robert Deal.
The family ask that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box # 1055, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024 or to Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center to support non small cell lung cancer research, (NSCLC), Atten: Louisa Glenn, 2525 West End Ave., Suite 450, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.
