Funeral Service for Mr. Roy Adams will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2015 at 12 noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses,3003 Soutel Dr. with Gralyn Matthews, Sr., presiding. Interment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 Edgewood Dr.
Mr. Adams departed this life on May 18, 2015. He was employed with the Naval Air Station, he retired after 37 years of dedicated services.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 77 years, Carrie Mae Adams, 9 sons, one who recently preceded him in death, Johnnie Adams (Brenda) of Albany, NY, Charles (Candy), Michael (Sharon) of Atlanta, GA, Roy Alvin (Minnie), Shadrach (Irene), Walter (Annette), Bernard (Virginia), Reginald and Eric K. Adams. His 5 daughters, Edith Feacher (James), Claudia Williams, Brenda Maples, Cynthia Farley and Sharon Adams, all of Jacksonville, FL. Thirty-nine grandchildren, 66 great-grands and 32 great great-grands. One sister, Bernice Zimmerman and one sister in-law, Annie B. Lawson, of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews and a host of sorrowing friends.
Viewing for Mr. Adams will be held Tuesday at the Ramona Pavilion, 7166 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home, Inc., 1337 N. Davis St., Jacksonville, FL. Laprinzo M. Banks, LFDIC, Roderic D. Feacher, LFD.
