*Some sources spell his name as "Acie, Acey, etc. However, his marriage license spells it "Asa"(see attached photo). So, because that is an official document and was most likely verified in his presence as an adult, it is what I am using for the memorial.

There is no marker for this grave. This memorial is placed in Rocky Mount Cemetery based on information posted at Genealogy.com by Jean Lee on Feb 23, 2000. Jean is a descendant of Charles L. Matlock.
