Kenneth O. Fiedler, 89, of Granville died May 21, 2015, in Manor Court, Peru.
Graveside service will be private. Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ken was born April 10, 1926, in Granville to Oscar and Katherine (Miller) Fiedler. He married Marilyn Van Ormer on Jan. 20, 1946, in United Church of Christ, Granville.
He graduated from Hopkins [Township] High [School] in 1943. He was a self-employed farmer. Ken was president of Marshall-Putnam County Fair for 10 years and he also was president of Granville Cemetery Board from 1992–2007 and served on the board 1976-2007. Ken was a member of Granville Masonic Lodge 1093 and Shriners Temple in Peoria. He was a member of the UCC [United Church of Christ Congregational] church board [in Granville], a choir member and a Sunday school teacher. Ken was a 4-H leader and was also involved with other farm-related boards.
Survivors are his son, Richard (Christine) Fiedler of Granville; five daughters, Suzanne Hollingshead of Spring Valley, Nancy (Gary) Koehler of Bartlett, Tenn.; Amy (Mike Holler) Fiedler of De Pere, Wis., Anita Bailey, of Hillside, Ann (Brad) Meisenheimer of Seattle, Wash.; one sister Eleanor Bruch of Granville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Myles Fiedler; and one sister, Doris Ackerman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Putnam County Food Pantry.
