Carl O. Pearson, 78, 811 N. Chicago Ave., died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 1963, in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born Sept. 23 1884, in Ostergotland, Sweden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Per A. Johanson. Lived 52 years in Rockford coming here from Sweden. Married to the former Gunhild Swenson in Rockford, Nov. 14, 1914. Employed as a machinist by Burson Knitting Co. for 48 years. He retired four years ago. Member of First Lutheran Church, and of Rockford Masonic Lodge 102, Freeport Consistory, Tebala Temple, Baltic Lodge of Vikings, and Elvira Lodge Order of Vasa.
Survivors include: widow; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Galloway, Spokane, Wash; a brother, Harold Pearson, Northbrook, Ill.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in Fred C. Olson Mortuary. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park.
