Lonnetta Kay “Lonnie” Hartig, 75, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday May 18, 2015 at the Villa Care Center. The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lonnie was born in Fort Dodge on February 3, 1940 to Einar and Juanita (Stufflebean) Anderson and grew up there. She sang on the Barndance when she was 14. On February 22, 1958 she married Gib Hartig and they made their home in Fort Dodge. She worked as a Nurses Aid most of her life. She loved spending time with her family, singing and going out to eat. She was also an Elvis fan, she loved to dance and she just enjoyed life.
Lonnie is survived by her children Jody (Larry) Knowles of Fort Dodge, Sonja (John) Myers of Madison, OH and Tammy (Terry) Arndt of Burlington, ND; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings Susan (Rick) Krug of Fort Dodge, Mindy Anderson of Fort Dodge Debbie (Tim) Michalski of Clare and Dean Anderson of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband Gib Hartig in 2011; her daughter Brenda; her sisters Linda in 2004 and Kathy in 2011 and her parents Einar and Juanita Anderson.
