When Georgia Ava "Georgie &. Avey" Pentecost was born on June 25, 1899, in Peace Valley, Missouri, her father, James Eli Shieds Pentecost, was 32 and her mother, Laura Frances (Breedlove) Pentecost, was 24. She married Charles William "Will" Ball March 9,1914, they had five children together between 1915 and 1925.Those children now deceased are: 1) Anna Laura Leota Pearl "Pearl" (Ball) Perkins;
2)Fred William Ball Sr.;
3)Ruby Opal (Ball) Idleman; and
4)Glen Wayne Ball.
She then married Walter Pinklin Barnett on Jan. 2 1927 in Thayer, Oregon, Missouri, and they had eight children together between 1927 and 1942. Those who are now decesed are: 1)Rev. James Eli Barnett;
2)Alice Mae Barnett;
3)Alma Fay Barnett;
4)Wlater Pinklin Barnett Jr.
Mrs. Barnett passed away on July 23, 1994,at 5:50am in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 95, her youngest daughter was with her helping care for her at the time.
Georgia never learned to drive, but she had fun trying. She attended Pentecostal churches(started out Baptist). She is greatly loved and missed.
