Johnny Len Cantrell age 52 of Smithville passed away Thursday morning at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. He was born September 15, 1962 to his parents, the late Hamp, Jr. and Rebecca Davis Cantrell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Paulette Estes. Johnny was a Baptist and worked in Construction work. He is survived by 5 children, Johnna Cantrell of Smithville, Rocky Cantrell of Shelbyville, Porsche Cantrell of Lewisburg, Heather Soto of Smithville, Matthew Cantrell of Smithville; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Deanna (Jerry) Brooks, Tammy (Jerry) Maynard, Tonya (Rocky) Menix, and Michelle (Tim) Snipes all of Smithville; 1 brother, Dwight Cantrell of Smithville. Johnny's request was to be cremated. There will be a graveside memorial service held at the Mt. View Cemetery at Young Bend. The time and date of the service has not been set and will be announced later. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
