Benjamin Posey is not the sibling of Abraham Posey. In doing DNA I discovered that the parents of Abraham Posey were Absolom Posey and Jeanne Abney. Abraham Posey only had one brother and he was Francis Humphrey Posey (Find a Grave Memorial #48876053) 1782-1870 of Edgefield Co., SC who is buried in the Posey/Timmerman Cemetery near Eureka SC at Shaws Creek. The other siblings of Abraham Posey were all female who are unknown at this time. /Nehemiah Posey is NOT the son of Abraham Posey1780-1837. I have the Family Bible which gives most of the children of Abraham and Rachael his wife. The others have been found over the years of hard research and contact with family members as well as recently through DNA. Rachael and Abraham Posey had the following children: Benjamin Posey married Delili, unknown daughter, Humphrey Posey 1809-bef. 1880 and married Mary Windham, William Posey 1811- bef. 1870 married Keziah Anderson, James Richard Posey 1815-1890 married Emily Sarah Anderson, Mary Margaret Posey 1816-1868 married Robert D. Higdon, Rachael Posey 1824-1868 married Bradford C. Walls, and David Marlin Posey 1830-1910 married Mary Ann Browning. There one other male child thought to be Malachi Posey 1812-. This child is not documented as yet, all the others mentioned above are documented.
