Sheila Ann Jordan Bennett, 61, of Amherst, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Woodrow Walter Bennett. Born February 17, 1954, in Phoenix, Ariz., she was the daughter of the late Etta Louise Jordan.

Sheila was a retired employee of the Central Virginia Training Center and a member of Madison Heights Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Sheila is survived by two stepsons, Tony Bennett and his wife Ginger of Amherst and Paul Bennett, also of Amherst; two grandchildren, Charity Bennett and Tony Bennett Jr.; one great-granddaughter on the way; other loving family members and friends; and a faithful canine friend, Little Bit.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
