Born in Kewanee, Wis., Mr. Grannis was the son of William and Nancy Nevada Grannis. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul and a sister, Madlyn Funsinn. Mr. Grannis was a member of the Underwriters Association and was a self-employed insurance auditor and engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret L. Kienzle Grannis; three daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Nancy) Purnell of Minier, Miss Susan K. Grannis of El Segundo, Calif., and Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Roeder of Auburn; five grandchildren; one brother, Charles W. of Belmont, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, the Rev. Greg Roe officiating. Remains will be cremated.
