Gary Faehnrich was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 1, 1947, the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. M. (Mix) Farhnrich. Gary was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended the Alexandria Schools, graduating in the class of 1965. Gary served two years in the United States Navy and after his Honorable Discharge was attending school at St. Cloud, Minnesota at the State College.
Gary was accidentally killed in an automobile accident, May 26, 1974 at the age of 27 years. He is survived by his parents; one sister, Sue (Mrs. William Hoffman) of Villard, Minn.
Funeral services for Gary were held at First Lutheran Church, May 28 with Rev. Philip Westby and Rev. Ronald Otterson officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers for Gary were his cousins, Dan Hanson, Guy Lommen, Richard Lindquist, David Lindquist, Gerry Hanson, Roger Schultz, Mark Lindquist and Tom Lindquist. Military Honors at the grave.
