Jane K. Wenner of Clarion died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, after a brief illness.

Born in Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Thomas R. and Emma W. Kellett.

She was a graduate of Clarion Area High School.

Mrs. Wenner worked first at Owens-Illinois. Her love for children led her to employment at the Clarion Area High School cafeteria, the Clarion Free Public Library and as a crossing guard for Clarion Area Elementary School.

She greatly enjoyed people and spent much time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She attended a monthly luncheon with her high school classmates who exchanged stories about the changes in
Clarion over the years. She also enjoyed sitting on her front porch, watching and feeding the birds and visiting with neighbors.

Mrs. Wenner was a 50-year member of First Presbyterian Church in Clarion and also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was married to Donald E. Wenner, who died in 1961.

Surviving are two children, Brenda W. Aravich and husband, Tom, of DuBois, and Thomas A. Wenner and wife, Delores, of Clarion; and four grandsons, Jason Wenner and wife, Amy, of Columbia, Md., Matthew
Wenner of Clarion and Adam Aravich and David Aravich, both of DuBois.

Mrs. Wenner was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Wayne Kellett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion with the Rev. Kirk Orr officiating.Friends will be received in the chapel of the church beginning at 9:30
a.m. prior to the services.

Interment will follow in Clarion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Permanent Memorial Endowment Fund of the First Presbyterian Church or to Clarion Free Library.
