Phyllis L. (Misner) Flohr, 89 a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of 7718 Creager Road, both of Waynesboro, died at 1:45 P.M., Sunday, May 17, 2015, in the nursing home.
Born November 20, 1925 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William Clayton and Martha Blanche (Moats) Misner. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
She and her husband of over 71 years, Archie S. Flohr, were married on December 7, 1943. They moved to the Creager road address following Mr. Flohr's discharge from the army. Mrs. Flohr entered the nursing home in October 2008.
Mrs. Flohr was a homemaker and enjoyed working around the house and raising her family.
She attended services at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro and was a former member of Blue Rock United Brethren Church, Waynesboro,
Mrs. Flohr enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William S. Flohr of Waynesboro and Jeffrey L. Flohr of Mont Alto; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Barbara J. Flohr
and Dennis E. Flohr; two sisters, Anna Misner and Ameda Wolfe; and three brothers, Rev. Lester Misner, Clarence W. Misner, and Max Eugene Misner.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor William Shank officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday morning, in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Quincy Village Benevolent Care Fund, 6596 Orphanage Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
