Funeral services for Marvin C. Coffey, 64, of Hereford, were held Monday afternoon in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Wood, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Coffey died Friday in Harlingen where he had spent the winter.
Born in Erick, Okla., he married Norma Thompson on June 14, 1946, in Dimmitt. The came to Hereford in November 1952, from Clovis, N.M. Mr. Coffey was a veteran of Military service during the Korean war.
He was a past master of Hereford Masonic Lodge 849 and belonged to El Paso Scottish Rite, Khiva Shrine Temple, a 32nd degree KCCH and a member of Hereford Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Coffey was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Lonny Coffey of Mansfield; a daughter, Carol Stapp of Lewisville, and four grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Scottish Rites Hospital Kidney Foundation.
