Died at 92 years 9 months.

Served in the Rev. War under Col. John Kelly in 1777 for three months at Big Island, on the West Branch of the Susquehanna. In March of 1778, he "was appointed Lieutenant of a company of six months men." Shortley afterwards he was ordered by Col. Samuel Hunter to proceed with about 20 men, to Fishing Creek and to build a fort, "in case of an alarm from the Indians."
The fort was attacked by Indians and surrounding houses were burned. DAR describes him as serving under Capt. THOMAS ROBINSON at some point. His personal notes also
indicate he served under General Clinton, and they were opposed "by the enemy's whole force. consisting of Indians, British and Tories" at one point.
