The Evening News, Harrisburg, PA, 5 Nov 1929:
CARLISLE, Nov. 5 -- John Adams, a resident of Carlisle until a few years ago, yesterday was struck and killed by an automobile in Madison, Ohio, according to information received here. He was 64 years old.
He is survived by a son, Albert Adams, 48 East Penn street; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Kingsboro, New Cumberland, and Miss Pearl Adams, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Straw, Carlisle, and four brothers, Ira, Charles, Levi and Samuel Adams, all of Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held at 2.30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the home of his son, Albert Adams. Burial will be in the Old Graveyard.
