"Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep." Truly can we say this of our beloved member of the Ladies Aid Society, Mrs. Florence Odom, who was summoned by the voice of infinite love to the land of eternal rest on the afternoon of June the 14th. In the presence of her loved ones her spirit winged its flight to mansions of glory in the "land where saints immortal reign." She was a gentle, noble-hearted, Christian lady. She loved her family and neighbors, and made home a haven of rest and joy to her companion and those who were present.
We hereby place on record this tribute to her memory: Therefore be it Resolved 1. That we have sustained a great loss, but that we bow in-humble submission to the will of our heavenly father, though our hearts be sad. 2. That we extend our sincere sympathy to the grief-stricken husband and children and other members of the family, and commend them to the love and care of God. 3. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family, and a copy sent to the Raleigh Christian Advocate for publication, and a page in our record book be set apart sacred to her memory.
